Patch Question...I'm not worthy!

I just got hired as a new EMT-B, thought they were putting me on a truck but turns out they want me to be a chair car driver for awhile since I don't have experience. Anyway, what do you all think of somebody with no experience wearing their patches? (state and NREMT) I feel like I shouldn't wear them until I am actually doing EMT work. The same goes for putting emblems on my car. My Mom bought me one and I feel like a sham if I ride around displaying I am an EMT but with no experience out in the field. Yeah, it's a stupid question, but I don't have anybody else to present this quandary to. Thanks...

If you're certified through NREMT and your state, wear away. Don't over think it. Wear the uniform they provide you and do your job. There's no crazy responsibility or recognition that comes from wearing an EMT patch.
