I am currently in the Navy and stationed at NAS Jax. I want to pursue a career as a Paramedic when my enlistment is up. I have done some research and found quite a few Paramedic Programs in the Jacksonville area but which ones are the best bang for the buck? I would like to attend the best program possible in my area. Thanks for any info.

Go to a community college-based program that requires (at least) College Anatomy & Physiology, Freshman English, and College Algebra; and, awards an AS degree upon completion.

Steer clear of FMTI!

As stated, Go the Community college route and get your degree.

Thanks for the advice. FMTI was one of the schools in question. I didn't want to make a decision I would regret later in training. Florida State College looks to have a good program. I'm going to go check them out and see what they have to offer.

I actually finished Registry testing @ FMTI Melbourne. I wasn't overly impressed - it started about an hour late, and wasn't overly organized. That being said - I passed, so I'm not complaining too loudly.

YMMV.
