Hey guys, I am just about to dive in today and pay my fees for a online self paced 10-16 week class through RC Health Services in Spring Texas. In looking through some of the threads on this site I noticed some debate over classes like this.
I am located about 45 mins away from one of their several onsite classes. I know that they have had a good success rate with their traditional on site classes. My concern is their online class fairly new.
When speaking with the instructor he assured me that they were available for help and that while the program was new to their academy it was a program that was used by other online schools. The instructor has been very prompt to return my phone calls (several of them) and I didn't feel rushed.
I have worked in the medical field several years, I was NREMT-Basic certified right out of high school (UGGG... class of 1991 lol).I finished EMT-IV program through my community college. But I had to have ACL reconstruction surgery and then had 3 kids pretty much back to back. So like a dummy I didn't test for EMT-IV and didn't renew my license. Ive worked as an ER tech, Surg Tech with a two plastic surgeons and as a Unit Secretary.
Any thoughts on online classes?
