One of life's good guys!

Sad.

Thoughts and prayers.

Snags and "soup holes", very damgerous.

There is a reason they call insecure limbs "widowmakers", and snags (burned standing trees) lag behind only mva's and maybe MI's as wilderness ff'ers' cause of death on the job.

My partner and I found ourselves under an overhead barn door one night which was trying to drop like a big flyswatter and finish off us and the guy who had tried to climb onto it earlier and fallen. Look up when you survey scene safety, and stay away from burned trees. They'll drop on heroes and bums alike.

("Soupholes"? Where a tree or other wood burned off at the ground and is still invisibly burning like a charcoal forge underground, you can cook your chow over them or step into them. I recommend neither).

My thoughts and prayers to the friends and family that have lost so much....... -_-
