I'm currently certified In pa as an EMT basic. I'm originally from Evans NY a suburb of buffalo. I want to get certified as a basic in NY state is there any way to do this without taking another class or moving right off the bat? I was looking at reciprocity but from what I've been reading to be eligible for reciprocity in NY you have to live there (Is that correct),and I was interested in getting my certification and then saving money to move to ny. Does ny accept national registry, or is there anyway to get certified to be an emt in new york without taking another class?

NY STATE, NJ, Pa, De, Va, and MD, IIRC all have reciprocity with each other. Give the NY state EMS office a little ringy dingy.
