Quick question! I am an NREMT. I'm also a student nurse with only 3 semester remaining of nursing school. My buddy who is an RA at local college wants me to give a lecture for some of his residents over alcohol related traumas, high risk activities for college students, etc... As an NREMT am I qualified to give such a lecture if I feel comfortable with the material I am lecturing over? I feel like it would be a good experience for me but I don't want to overstep my boundaries as an NREMT. If that makes sense?

You're qualified to give a lecture on anything you desire. The real matter is how seriously most of us would be taken giving a lecture on quantum theory or how many people would attend.

I don't see why not? Unless there's extra NREMT bylaws, I don't see how giving a lecture will get you in trouble. Unless you're divulging into patient's privacy info, there shouldn't be problems. If you feel comfortable with the material you're going to cover, go for it.

You can lecture on whatever you want, but in order to do a good job and be viewed as credible, a lecturer should generally have some expertise or at least significant knowledge & experience with the material.

If you feel you know enough about the topic to give a good presentation and answer questions, have at it.
