Hi everyone, my name is Brianne and I am new to the forums.

I am interested in finding out where and what exactly I need to do to become an EMT, once I complete my CPR training. Can anyone point me into the right direction as to where to take classes in the Richmond, VA area?

Talk to any EMS/Fire crew. They will have the low down on all the EMT courses in your area.

What he said!

Go do a few ride alongs with whatever companies or FDs are in your area, and ask them everything?

They will be able to tell you all the requirements, what schools are available and their reputations, as well as job prospects and the best companies to apply for.
 
Look at your local community college and sign up for an EMT class... they typically fill fast so keep an eye out on registration days.
