So I have an unusual question. Does anyone know how reciprocity works going from US to Canada for medics? Also does anyone have any knowledge on how this works for nurses as well? Im somewhat considering a move up north, but not sure how much paperwork is involved. Ive looked into it a little bit, and seen that you have to apply for citizenship and have a license before you can even apply. Does anyone else have any further knowledge on this. Also, Im going back to school for nursing, but dont know how nursing programs work there. Heard theres a great program in Alberta.

There are some commonwealth medics floating around here and hopefully they will give you some information, but I would start here by doing a search as it's likely been answered multiple times before.

As a general rule, however, US Paramedics are not generally qualified to be paramedics in Canada, though there is one province (I don't know which one) that will offer licensure for National Registry holding medics. Just search around at that link and you should have your answer.
