Hi,

I have a EMT license in New Jersey. I never took any CEUs and I never volunteered. My license expires in 2014. Is there a way that I could "catch up". I am just interested in volunteering.

Thanks

As long as you meet the requirements NJ sets out for re-licensure by the renewal date, you shouldn't have a problem.

Ok but exactly how do I catch up? Where do I get the courses I need?

Do you need to do nremt? Ceus? Minimum Number of pt contacts? minimum number of hours?
Each state is different. You question would be best directed towards your licensing agency. I am not sure what you mean by "behind". Does nj require you to be active or to complete education this long before recertification?

I was hoping someone from Jersey would reply. I will contact the licensing agency.

Thank You

I am a non-practising EMT. I lost the faith years ago.
