My EMT class finishes in a couple weeks. There's an EMT-B National Registry Exam available on Dec. 20. I was thinking of taking this b/c I would have just studied for my class final and everything would be fresh.

Then, I learned if I take the test after Jan 1, 2006, I would have the results available possibly the next day.

I know it can take up to 6 weeks to get results the current way, but does it usually actually take that long? Can I start applying to places even though I haven't gotten the results, yet?

Thanks for any advice

Your class finishes next week and you can take the exam on the 20th? Thats great. We had to have our stuff there NLT than 30 days prior.

As for length...I got mine in 9 days, online. Actual cards and stuff in 13 via snail mail.

I would take it right away.

Wait.....what am I talking about...

I waited 5 months after finishing my course because I was a big fat chicken ( I wish I had a dancing chicken right here_.

But, If I had it to do again, I would have taken the next possible test.
