Hey there,

Hows it going everyone? My name is Eric and I found this forum looking for some help. I took the EMT-B class about a year and a half ago and had a question on when my recertification is due. Is it due two years after the class or the expiration date of my county card. I live in California and so far i've asked a few coworkers and they have given me two different answers.

The expiration date on your card.
 
For a "sure" fire answer contact the state board and ask them. Might even ask the chief instructor at a local EMT school, they might know.


And I put sure in quotes because I have been told one thing by the state and had to do the other in reality. But they usually are correct.
 
Thank you both for the quick responses. Ill go ahead and give them a call for a for sure answer.
 
Eric, NREMT is always due in March. YOu need to renew both, and the dates should be on your cards.
