I know it isn't EMS related, but I accidentally clicked NO instead of YES when I closed a document I have been working on all day for school. Unfortunately I like the idiot that I am did not periodically save it and so now......it be gone.

I have it set to auto save every five minutes, but I have no idea how to recover the auto save file.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It depends on whether you are using a PC or Mac. If you remember the name you gave the document it will be a lot easier. On PC just go the Start menu and go under the Search option. Click "Documents" and type in the name of the file and it should search your computer for anything related to it. If there are multiple files you can hover over them with your mouse to see which time is the most recent and that should be the one you're looking for. On a Mac, I believe there is a Finder function on the top right of the desktop, signified by a magnifying glass if I remember correctly. Type in the document name there and it should find it relatively quickly.

If you happen to not remember what you named, or if you just happened to not name it, there should be a function in that particular program you used to retrieve it. Try going to the File function and seeing if there is a "Open recent" button... may have your file there as well. I hope this helps!
