I'm raving at my boss that we need to ditch our no good Schiller AT-2 machines in favor of a PC based EKG system. I am subsequently having trouble finding one which does not require the PC to be attached while you "shoot" the EKG. Looking for something about half as large as a shoebox or smaller, preferably can tun on batteries but nt essential, and you can take it back to the PC, plug it in, and view or print the EKG from the PC.
Anyone know of these?

Few Q's

May I ask the benefits of a PC connection? More precise analysis? And is this for prehospital?

This wold be to take resting EKG's in exam rooms away from PC's.

The one unit I saw so far had to be hooked up to a PC, but the price was in the lower end of the other self-interpreting machines. The printer is the computer's printer, no special paper, and ostensibly the EKG data could be sent to a cardiologist via Internet etc. The users are very hard on equipment and not very intrested in pampering a new touchy machine.

Biolog single channel looks unbelievably economical.

What's the catch? Cables expensive? No repair?

Anyone else have experience besides Biolog?

And if you have a Biolog, can you advise the manufacturer's name?
I'm starting a campaign, thanks for the help so far.

I'm not sure if this helps, but we have the lifepack 12 and our ePCR software is written by Zoll...we can transmit our 12 leads via cell phone or change cables and upload the 12 lead to our PCR's.

The software needs work in reference to everyday usage but uploading works great...

Thanks DJMedic

NOt quite what we are looking for, but wouldn't it be sweet if our AED's could act as 12 lead EKG collectors...
