I'am about to start my emt b class in riverside and was wondering if anyone could tell me after i have completed my class and pass my registry exam if I can take my paramedic class threw a community college? do the credits transfer? do I have to go to paramedic school threw ncti? please all answer will help alot thanks.

I'm pretty sure that once you are certified as an NREMT-B, you can take your paramedic class anywhere you'd like to. Many have pre-requisites regarding how many months you work as a basic before enrolling in a paramedic program, though. One of the advantages of taking the paramedic class at a community college, or at least at my community college, is that when finished, you receive an AA degree in Emergency Medical Services (granted you finished all your GEs). Don't know how much that means to you, but I think of it just as an added bonus. As far as credits transferring, I don't really know if you mean your emt being valid for entrance into a paramedic program, or just valid for elective college credits?
