Author of parts of this article is Ann Stirland, a British consulting anthropologist (predates "BONES" and Kathy Reising, "Bones" 's author).
OIntersting descriptions of types an mechanisms of injuries rcored in skeletons from the crew of the Marie Rose, which sunk in the Thames and was (and is) thoroughly studied.

Ms Stirland's book "Human Bones in Archaeology" is worthwhile not only for the stated subject, but it is a darned fine quick reference to the human skeleton, eruption order of teeth, etc.
