How does con ed work? How soon after you are certified do you need to start?

I got my emt-b at the beginning of summer, but I wanted to enjoy my summer and go on vacation with my family and hang out with my school buddies before starting what I hope will be my career, so I have not done anything EMS related, other than review from my book and use those test study guides to keep quizzing myself.

If I start working in October, or possibly late September will I be fine?

Here, once you get ticketed you need to start taking courses. Each course, and there are thousands range in credits, and then you need to get a certain amount of credits per year. However I'm not in the states so I'm not sure how it works down there! Congrats, and hope you enjoy the new job!!:D
