Moving from UK to Florida

Hi, hoping you guys can help me out.

I'm currently an ambulance technician in the UK, looking to make the move (due to family reasons and preferring the lifestyle) over to the States, most likely Florida.

Interested in knowing about paramedic education programmes, and about employment as a paramedic in Florida, particularly Collier County.

I'm currently visiting family in Collier County, so if there's anyone working in EMS in the area, please make yourself known if you're willing to have a chat to help me out.

I'm willing to bet if you called their county EMS department they would be willing to schedule you for a ride-a-long. Good luck with your endeavors on this side of the pond:).
 
Thanks very much for those links, hadn't seen the first link to the paramedic programme. I'll try calling the EMS department on Monday morning :-)

Working on that - currently only in the thinking stages - my father-in-law lives out here with his wife, and we're looking to spend more time with them.
