I thought I'd post this just to let you know how New Zealand Medical services coped with the 7.1 earthquake injuries.
USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) were out with dogs checking through the rumble, within hours of the quake.
Having only 1 serious injury (the patient is in intensive care after a brick chimney fell on them)) and no deaths,
is close to a miracle really.
They did note that there were more Cardiac related calls after the quake, which given the very scary wake up call (4.35am) for Christchurch and the surrounding areas,
you could well understand there would be more cardiac issues arise.
