What’s up everyone?

So I’m in a paramedic training course right now, and we’re going through out Medical Emergencies Module. Our practical for it is the beginning of September. So, with the study group I’m with, I suggested getting together and creating/looking up some medical emergency scenarios to practice through as a group for additional practice before the test.

I was just wondering if anyone here knew of any sites that just have scenarios we could use? (Including a chief complaint, vital signs, recommended treatments, and possibly diagnoses) Or, hell, if anyone has any real experiences or one they’ve made up.

I’ve only begun looking, so maybe when I do a google search I’ll find some, but you all know the life of a paramedic student, I’m sure. No room to breath. So making a post here right before work is a little bit quicker than looking to google. =P

I would check the scenarios forum on here.

Thanks Rob.

That last link I already have...and I was hopin to find things more along those lines...but that's the only thing I can find from the NR.

The first link is a little bit more what I'm looking for...but I'll still have to kinda' alter it a bit, and I was hoping for it to possibly have recommended treatment on it, but that'll work. Thanks! ^_^

Maybe I'm blind...but I don't see where there are scenarios in the second link.

I also have some workbooks that have some in them, but some of them just give you dispatch info a an OPQRST and SAMPLE history, but no vitals or anything and making up the vitals and stuff myself isn't much good for practicing scenario...haha.

Mosby's Paramedic Refresher and Review

it is a complete refresher for paramedics based solely on case studies (scenarios) replete with: scenario, vitals, assessments data, critical thinking questions and answers.

My emt-i course cheats and derives their "trauma homework" word for word from this book.

Glad i took the time to view their "source" because it at least took the butterflies out of my stomach, knowing that my thought processes were mostly complete, before it got graded.

Thanks Rob.

The second is the website for the textbook. Just click a chapter and there are all kinds of interactive reviews.

Consider taking Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), I am going to take it soon and an EMT-P instructor of mine swears by it. Another friend of mine who is a long time EMT-P told me that its a good primer before becoming a medic. Either way you get hit with scenarios and curve balls for 16 hours. I am eager to do this class myself.
