Local station to be featured on Discovery Channel

Tonight in my EMT-B class, one of the students from one of the other stations in the county said that the Discovery Channel had been in his station for two weeks, and that the show featuring his station will air this coming Saturday, March 4, at 10:00pm.

Actually, after checking out the discovery.com website, I think he meant it will be on Discovery Health, a show called The Critical Hour. The episode details don't mention where it was filmed, though, so I can't be sure.

I've never watched that or any of the other similar shows. Have you? What do you think of them? Has your station or a nearby station ever been featured on such a show?

I think The Critical Hour is filmed at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Drama center in Baltimore. This is one of the premier american Trauma Centers (at least they like to think so).

It might be Paramedics, but I thought that stopped filming in 2002 or so.

Perhaps it is Discovery's "Firehouse USA"

It could be; the guy may have been mistaken about the time.

Now...Is "Shock Drama" a slip or an inside joke?

Are they not one of the premier American trauma centers? I know they like to think so, but I always thought they were right.
