OK so obviously I'm new and I'm sorry if this is dumb but i thought id throw this question off to the people on here im currently taking intro to EMS and are final project is to write a paper on a different EMS system and I got Las vegas so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on where to get the best info online or offline i already have a copy of the protocols for there and Im gonna compare them to Burnsville, MN where I live but any help on more info would be great thank you

I don't know where to find the info. I'd suggest a google search.

What I do know, or at least remember from conversations I've had with others.

Las Vegas Fire runs FD first responder (I think at the ALS level) as well as some transport-capable units. There is a contract split between A*MR and MedicWest (I think, which is confusingly enough also owned by A*MR). The privates transport patients that the FD folks chose to turf to them.

Well here in vegas we do things a little weird. AMR and Medicwest split up city of vegas. Medicwest runs north las vegas, and hederson FD runs all there own stuff. Clark county fire and City of las vegas FD only run if they have no other choice. Sounds weird. Because it is. If you wanted more detail info you can call AMR or Medicwest PR people and they will help you out.
