I posted about the combi tube before and was told about the King tubes. I can see the differences, but are the king's classified the same way as a combi? Our BLS squad is cleared to use the combi, but I think its the King LT-D that I was looking at, so is it kind of a "same difference" type device?

I know here in NM, we are allowed PTLAs and Combitubes per scope, with the King being discussed. You need to contact your state EMS dept and ask them

They are both non visualized airways. (NVAs) so at least in one way, yes they're classified as the same.

They definitely are not the same in construction or insertion though. Just similar.

Here both are BLS skills.

If Im gonna use a BLS airway, I prefer the King tube.
