Hey everyone, I just got my county cert and state cert for california and have applied for a job and scored an interview with Rural Metro in three days (so wednesday), however my dmv said at the time I went this week that they didn't have the right form to give me and to come back later and I have also scheduled my physical for this week to get all of my certs in order. I'm hoping still that I may have all of it by wednesday for my interview, but if I don't is it still possible for them to hire me if I am an NREMT certified and state certified EMT? all I need is the ambulance drivers cert and the medical examiners card all which I have planned to acquire by the end of this week I'm just hoping they will understand and give me a chance. I've been working full time at my other job this past month and this week is my last week so i'm hoping to get this job. Any tips or advice would be awesome.

Don't know how it is in Cali for R/M, but my interview here in AZ they made copies of everything when I came in to interview, they also sent people home the first day of training for not bringing all their certs.
I remember how much a pain california certification can be, but my suggestion is to not wait for the DMV you spoke with to have the forms and start looking for the closest one that does.

was the first day of training the actual interview because i'm grinding my way through to get these certs by wednesday however should have them by friday! @WildlandEMT89

Nope, at my interview we were told to bring all of our certs and id, then once hired were told to bring our certs in to orientation training. Those that did not bring all of their documents to orientation were sent to retrieve them or rolled to the next class.
