Indiana EMS Question

Hello everybody. I'm looking for some information on EMS in and around Lafayette, IN. I am faced with a possible move to that area and know nothing about EMS in IN. Anything within about an hours drive is a possibility.

Looking for information like pay scale, call volume, equipment, protocols, benefits, etc.

Feel free to PM your responses.

As a side note, how aggressive is the scope of practice in Indiana? Are there many ground services doing RSI, surgical airway, etc.

Protocols vary from county to county, and in some instances, service to service. I can't help you out with info up around LaFayette, but if you are interested in the Indy area, I can answer some questions for you.
 
Absolutely... Indy would definitely be close enough for me to consider... I'll take any info that you can provide.
 
I will send you a couple PMs about local services. It is one I sent to someone a little over a year ago, but looking over it, there really aren't any changes to the particular info that is in them. I will also send you another one addressing things you have asked about that are not already addressed. That one may take me a day or two to get to you.

For what it's worth, Indy is great city, and Indiana is a great state. I'm a born and raised Hoosier. Of course we're not leaving Denver anytime soon! :)
