I just received my EMT License and was wondering what the policy is in Illinois to carry a spring assisted knife. What is the required specifications? Where can I carry it with me? Also, can I carry the same knife off duty? For example, with me when I go to the grocery store or even with me on my college campus?

Get an Emerson knife with a Wave. It comes out of the pocket open. Not an automatic or spring assisted. Not cheap, either.
