Hey everyone.. I take my state test on jan 13th.. i've read and read the book from my class but are there any good study guides. Thanks in advance..

Travis

I tested in MA, and the three things that helped me the most were rereading the chapters from our textbook (especially the summaries and vocab sections at the end of each chapter), reviewing all the powerpoints from class which my professor transferred to my flash drive and this book:

http://www.amazon.com/EMT-Basic-Interactive-Flashcards-Premium-CD-ROM/dp/0738604593/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1262154969&sr=8-2

The book is fun because it has scenarios that help your critical thinking skills so you aren't purely remembering vocab and basic concepts. Be sure to check and make sure the stuff in the book is consistent with what you are taught in class and the Illinois state protocols so you don't study incorrect information.

Good luck!

IDPH offers a study guide on there website heres the pdf link, Study Guide. It has the abbreviations you need to know as well as a break down of the types of questions that will be asked as well as some sample questions. I actually saw one of those questions on my test (question 9 to be exact) and knew the answer because I had checked out their study guide.

Don't psych yourself out and be confident in what you know, and don't forget the ABC's!

yea i've been over the IDPH study guide dozens of times lol. I keep getting told that most of the questions on the state test are scenario's.. how true is that? I got an A in my class and a 86% on my final in class so hope it wont be to hard

well my wife went shopping today and brought me home a study guide from barnes and noble.. so hopefully it will help
