Hi! I am interested in doing some part time teaching in EMS in NJ and was wondering if someone knows the rules about that or any training I would need? I am an ER nurse and EMT. Thanks!

I think you need a bachelors degree... not sure. We have a few people who are instructors who will be able to tell ya. And honestly it probably varies by state.

Start by becoming a CPR instructor, I recommend AHA, and getting some experience with those classes...
I encourage you to look out for NAEMSE's instructor course, and it looks like NJ has other requirements http://www.state.nj.us/health/ems/documents/mandatory_trng_emt_instructor.pdf

Look through the NJ department of EMS website for more information, and consider contacting a local training institution, to ask if they need help, initially with skill labs.

Edit: also check out http://www.naemse.org/instructor-course/
