I'm finishing up the end of my EMT-B class In Texas. I will have all clinicals done before class is finished. I'm wanting to know about how long it takes from finishing the coarse to having my license if you were to get stuff done as soon as possible and not wait around and take your time. Thanks for any and all help and advice

Registry takes a few days to post online once your written and skills arw done. You cab print a card out from the site now too.
Texas can take between 2 and 8 weeks, just depending on which time of year you submit all your paperwork.

Ya we will be finishishing in 2 weeks and I'm gonna get everything done asap, I was just trying to get a general time line of how soon I could take my test once I finish the coarse. Everyone else I've spoken to said months but they all waited around and didn't test for a couple months after they were elligible. Thanks again

You could be waiting for a bit for an open Pearson Vue slot as well. Keep in mind that the testing centers have a lot of varied professions and vocations that test there.

Our testing center here is really great and they have opening pretty frequently, when I took my eca they had openings about every other week. My main concern was what kinda time frame it took for the state to process all the paperwork for eligibility to test

Fair enough. For your eca did dshs make you do fingerprints? If so then the state might take less time to process because it would be a certification upgrade, not a new provider license.
And the state doesn't do the paperwork for eligibility to test. Your school gives that paperwork to the Nremt and clears you to test.
With texas they need money, a copy of your bls card, a copy of your nremt card, the completed application, and fingerprints on file.

They did fingerprints but the I structure said I would have to redo fi gerprints and back ground check again

You might wanna call the office in Austin and ask. When i upgraded from intermediate to medic with dshs, i didn't have to do bg or fingerprints
