Hi All,

In a week I take the entrance exam for a private ambulance company. It's not a huge deal of a test, but I haven't taken a comprehensive test like this in a couple years. So I brought out my books, dusted them off and plan to spend a week brushing up.

What study tips work for you? How do you study and what do you study? The book as we all know is a good sized one, and I want to brush up on all areas. I haven't been in the field for over three years, but I have had a medical job the entire time (ER Tech).

I write lots of notes with a huge box of colored pencils.. I'm a visual association kind of person. I re-draw alot of diagrams from my books, and make the different parts different colors. Then I associate the names of the diagrammed parts with those colors..

When I hear "medial" I automatically think RED, because that's what I've colored it. Lateral is yellow, the popliteal region is purple.. I have different colors for different kinds of dressings..

That might not work for everyone, but it's help me in testing, and I haven't flunked out yet..
