New to the site, just thought id drop a line in and say hi!

So far i love it, always have wanted to get into EMS and now that i have i cant wait to get on the truck!

I know theres gotta be some ppl from Acadian on this thing!!! Im actually located in Lafayette LA! Going to the EMS Academy in Carencro! So Howdy folks!

keep looking at it until you know the material very well. of course with the right study habits. i dont know any that have long term success with cramming. i still look over my emt book, read articles, and so on...i find theres always more information to get for me

welcome and good luck with your emt pursuit!

yeh, i try not to cram as much as possible but with a full time job, and i also play in a full time band, (2-3 practices a week and like a show every weekend) i sometimes find myself cramming!

Thanks for the kind words!

Wish you well! I've heard some great things about Acadian so I hope it turns out good for you. My advice is the same as what you'll hear from everyone else: Study until you know it and then look over it again. Take the practice tests on the book's website, they helped me out a ton. Extra credit? Do it! Work your tail off.

Good luck! When do you do your rides and ER rotation?

Thanks abunch man!! Yeh ive been in the book a litte today and its coming together. Im actually suppose to be getting the ride schedule next week or the following, rides are mid october-november...

to be honest with you man im not 100% sure...i want to say yes, they do, but like i said not sure...thats my goal tho! AIR MED!

good luck with that...Im a paramedic with acadian...I can tell you know the only way to get on AIRMED is to be a good looking chick with a nice rack...period....I gave up on that a long time ago. Not to mention Airmed is just a glorified transfer unit and they are quite useless might I add. They are never able to fly when we need them most.
