Thanks
Thanks for the welcome! Just a little about me.
I have been in EMS for 12 yrs. I started out as a volunteer at a rescue squad in upstate SC in 1993. I quickly enrolled into an EMT class and at the time I testedin 1995 I was the 5th youngest person to test for EMT in the state. I spent the next 8 months as a basic, then took my i EMT-I in 1996. I was an EMT-I for then next 2.5 years and moved to MD. I then became a MD Cardiac Rescue Tech, and finally managed to get divorced from the limb of hell I managed to marry 2 yrs earlier. After being in MD until Feb. 2000, I moved back to SC and got my EMT-I back, and worked for a county service until present. I finally managed to get the coveted NREMT-P this year, and for the past 9 months have been a very busy practitioner. I have managed to be as sh*t magnet most of my career and I guess thats why in late 2000 I joined a volunteer fire dept. I have been crazy enough to be in EMS for 12 yrs, i figure I can run into a burning building too. I have also done several other things part time over the years. I have done the fast food thing, factory work, auto repair, auto parts sales, welding, truck driving, school bus driving (which should have earned me hazard pay), and security work. I have served on my FD as the communications wizard for the past 2 years, however thats a different story for another day. I am currently working my way towards becoming a Sr. Paramedic for my service, and my long range goal is to become a CCEMT-P with a flight medic job for one of our 4 local helicopter providers. Well I hope that gives you all some insight into me and my EMS experience. Any questions, feel free to ask!
