HEMS crash. 2 dead

This hit close to home. A CareFlite chopper just went down killing the pilot and mechanic. No medical personnel on board.

Good thoughts to the families of the crew and staff. That's not a good thing to feel... especially when it does hit close to home

Thoughts and prayers for the families...

So often we worry about the medical crews and patients that we sometimes to take for granted to amazing and unseen work that the pilots and especially the mechanics do for us...

These two died while making sure that the aircraft was going to be absolutely safe for the med crew and the patient before putting the aircraft back into service. I always try to make sure the mechanics at the airbases I have worked at know how much I appreciate their work, and that I know they also take on some risks to ensure that every mission we fly goes safely...

My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the pilot and mechanic who died.
