I'm looking for either the ACLS protocols and drugs used, around 1980

or

contents of the typical paramedic drug box around the same time

any body got links, lists or leads...?

When I get around to it, I will dig up our old list and the one from AHA in the early 80s.

I can tell you the stuff we used to carry back then, that we no longer carry. ( as the rest of the most common drugs are still there )

Procainamide, Mannitol, Bretylium, EPI abboject with the intracardiac needle, demerol, Levophed and Isoproteronol.

Is your real name Johnny or perhaps Roy??

I don't need the information, but it would be neat to see.

We have some 'ancient' drugs in our department (educational purposes, of course). some dating back to ~1983 if I recall, I'll see if any were ACLS related..

just curious, why are you searching for this geezer-medicine stuff ?

Well, Sonny, I AM an old Geezer!

It kinda slips my mind just what was that stuff we were pushing into those people that brought them to life but now have been proven to be ineffective at best and dangerous at worst?

Let's put it this way, I want to look at this more specifically because from what I'm reading, the only things I carried back then truly shown to work was the Morphine I could kill myself with and the Narcan you could use to bring me back!

Besides that, when the trolley gets here I 'spect we could...

What were we talking about?
