Hi there! I'm new to EMTLife and would like to introduce myself. My name is Darren, and right now I am a licensed CNA in the state of Illinois. In December I will be starting my Basic class, and after that I am skipping Intermediate and going to Paramedic. My overall goal is to become a trauma nurse after I obtain my Paramedic and RN degrees, but I'm taking it a step at a time. Right now I am volunteering in a local hospital and have ridden with the local ambulance crew 3 times. I hope to have my RN program started within the next 2 years. I hope to specialize in trauma and critical care.
Anyone with advice that would help me is a hero to me. Some of this can get confusing at times. I would like to see if there is anyone else here from Illinois also. Thanks!
