I was curious to know if any gear of any kind is provided during school/program? If so, what materials? If not, are students usually required to stock up on any gear while attending emt school? Also, after you finish your schooling, do you present emt's put together your own bags/materials to take to work?

It depends on the school. Your best bet is to ask or you will find out when you start. I would not go out and buy anything until you know for sure this is what you want to do.... Or would even use it. I have never heard of a service besides SAR that had emts stock and provide their own kits. Some services have policies limiting what personal items or gadgets you can bring onto the rig.
