If anyone out there has any suggestions/comments/recommendations as to where I should take my EMT, i would really appreciate it. Seem to see on here that there are mixed reviews with regards to both of these schools, but overall both places sound like they are a little on the unorganized side. I really just care about the quality of my training and if I will be prepared for my ACP exams. Administrative issues really don't worry me that much.

I did my EMR back in september with AHASTI, and I wouldn't hesitate to take my EMT with them. I felt that I was very prepared for the ACP exam, and even after waiting this long to write the ACP.....I don't think I'll have a problem. I'm writing the ACP EMR this weekend. Everything has come back very quickly, and the prep that AHASTI does with it's students is top notch in my books.

to yyc ranger 4x4, thanks for the comment. That's good to hear you were happy with the level of training at AHASTI --and good luck on your EMR ACP exam!!

You get out what you put in!!

I took both my EMR and EMT at Flatline and it was the best!!! I don't get where people complain about the schools. Seems to me that you get what out of the education what you put in. I had no problems, people there were friendly and great, instructor was knowledgeable and I passed ACP first time at both levels with no problems at all. I also found that anyone who had complaint in the class were usually the author of their own problems - they hadn't put in the time to study or do the classwork.
Anyone who's looking for education in this field should be prepared for the time committment it takes to get through it.
Wherever you go though, keep in mind that you have to still do the work, put in the time and apply the knowledge you receive and find a schedule or instruction method that works for you. That's my thoughts.
