Long time lurker, couple time poster....

I have just been brought in on the implementation of the Mobile version of Firehouse, Firehouse Mobile ePCR. We are currently running these on tablets and the transition over to this has been a failure to put it honestly.

The main reasons I am hearing that it is not effective for us is the way we have implemented it.

The workflow is as follows:

Go to a call, create mobile report with as much information as you can (we don't have things like the times available for our run while at the hospital.)

Print off summary report for hospital, give to attending.

Go back to the station, log into Firehouse

Sync Tablet (10 minutes)

Go into firehouse and find the EMS report just created and create NFIRS to attach to that report.

Refill in information that is not syncing correctly - for instance, when speaking of human factors affecting care, if you put "NONE" in the tablet, it syncs "YES" in firehouse and then puts the comment "NONE".

Fix fields such as above to make report "clean" and then save report, both ems and nfirs.

The issue is that we feel as though we are entering a TON of duplicate information, specific to the firehouse side, like the times for the rig, we have to fill in several different places between NFIRS and the EMS report.

I was wondering if anyone has by their definition a "successful" implementation of the firehouse specific ePCR solution and if I could pick your brain.

Thank you for all of you help,

PS. This has been posted over on Firehouse.com as well.
