Fire Medic Position/ Medical Backgrounds

Whats up guys. I am currently working in California and preparing myself to apply to multiple fire departments for fire medic spots. My only concern is if having anxiety and the medication lexapro, a low dose, on my medical record will affect getting hired at all? I take it strictly for anxiety related to school and nothing else and plan on stopping in the near future since I graduate shortly. It does not affect my everyday life or my ability to function as a fire medic. Its strictly school related and test anxiety. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Have you ever been a fire medic? If not then you do not know how your anxiety will do on the job. Call your recruiter, they are the only ones that can give a real answer. Everything on here will be speculation.

Have you got to a psychologist, or just did the quick fix with medication? I'd try to get off any meds of you're young.

And if you think school causes anxiety, just wait for probation
