Fingerprint/background Check

Has anyone else done one of these?

I have everything done that is required for me to certify as an EMT except for the fingerprint check that I submitted about a week ago. I have 78 days left before I run out of time to certify.

Does anyone know how long they take? I called the EMS office to check on it and they said the company that does it is really backed up. I just don't want all of my hard work and $$$ to go down the drain all because a company takes too long on a background check (that is 100% clean) :sad:

Yes, I had to do one for my license. Should not take long for the background check company to complete it.... however, once the EMS office receives all of that paperwork, it may take a while for them to complete it all and get your license out. They may be working on hundreds of others before getting to yours. It has taken 8 weeks for some folks around here, but I received mine in about 5.

I'm sure this varies state-to-state, though.
