EMT hurt when amblulance collides with truck

An Perry County EMT worker was hurt just before noon Monday after the ambulance she was riding in collided with a truck.

The accident happened on Midland Avenue near Winchester Road. The Perry County ambulance was transporting a patient who was not in a life-threatening situation to Central Baptist Hospital from Hazard. Police say a black truck was waiting to turn left onto East Second Street when another truck rear-ended it, sending it into the path of the ambulance.
