I'm looking to get my EMT cert over the summer, as I'm a full time college student with no option to train during the school year. I live in Santa Rosa, and while I'd love to take a semester at SRJC I can't. The closest option I've seen is Fast Response in Berkeley. It's about $2400 and takes five weeks. Has anyone taken this/know the quality of the course? It seems expensive compared to community college options and I'm not sure if that quick of a course would help me pass the NREMT. Are there any other options available? I'd be willing to drive an hour a few days a week.

2400 is excessive for a program when most EMTs make very little money. When I worked as an EMT I never made 2400 in a month even with lots of overtime.
