Hi! I just moved to Nashville, Tennessee from Chicago, Illinois where I was a licensed EMT B and am looking to take a bridge course to achieve my EMT IV. I'm trying to go to Paramedic school in the fall, so I was hoping to do a summer course and simultaneously switch my licensure from Illinois to Tennessee.
I wasn't planning to move here, so I only ever got my state license. I'm trying to take my national within a few weeks. Is that necessary or can I just test into this system?
What else do I have to do to see that everything transitions smoothly?
Where can I find an EMT IV class? Preferably one that is accelerated. Would a regular IV Certification class suffice?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
