Sorry if this has been posted before, but I didn't find any threads when I searched... Anyone have any recommendations for EMT-B training on Long Island or NY? I was looking at either North Shore or St. John's for training, I just need something at night with steady hours because I work Full time during the AM. If anyone has any input, that would be greatly appreciated.

You got the 2 right programs. Call them and find out when they teach it.

St. Johns is great.

You can also go to VEEB in East Meadow. VEEB charges $800 last I knew.

Got ya. St john's seems expensive, but I noticed they seem to go a lot more in depth and they also claim to have more flexibility with scheduling your fieldwork, which is especially important because I work 40 hour weeks. I'm also looking to get into a paramedic program afterwords, and I figure it will be beneficial to have both training courses done at the same academy.

I just looked up VEEB, but it doesn't appear their doing anything this January.

I'm going to give North Shore and St. John's a call tomorrow to find out when the next class begins. I'd start earlier, but I'm currently finishing my masters, and that wont be done till December. Anyone else have any suggestions?

January seems about the usual time to begin.
