This happened at my service, although I wasn't working there at the time. I haven't been since school started. The news made it out worse that it was according to a supervisor there. I just thought I would post it, everyone needs to be aware of their surroundings and be ready to run back to the ambulance.

.

Everybody needs to watch their back all the time. There's been a few assaults around here but mostly related to drug issues - one that stands out was two years ago at the fairgrounds when a crew was doing standby. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt, but certainly shaken up. Take care and all always be safe !

I know the comments are not always the most accurate, but from them it looks like the guy was not even detained......that is just sad. Felony assult with a deadly weapon (attempted murder maybe?) and he gets off the hook.

Brings to mind what my class instructor used to say.----You may not know what is going to happen ten seconds from now, but you have to be ready for it anyhow and have a plan for exactly what will happen to avoid disaster. You cannot see through walls, but you can think through them. Once you get out of the ambulance, your head should be on a swivel and your mind needs to be firewalled.
