The Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office has confirmed that one person died in a weather related accident on Friday afternoon.

Strong winds came through the area knocking the temporary office trailer for the ambulance service at South Cameron Hospital off of its blocks, causing a paramedic to become trapped between the building and a vehicle.

38-year old Thomas Widcamp was airlifted to a Lake Charles hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

How unfortunate... RIP.

Thats bizarre, and so sad.

Also - it's been 4 years since Katrina - and they are still in trailers. It's a shame that they have been forgotten about.
