Hi, I am Canadian and I'm interested (determined) in a career as a firefighter.
I am in the early stages of researching education programs and I am willing to re-locate (within Canada) so I have learned that there are a number of options available to me.
It is my understanding that many fire dept's hire people who have taken the emt course, but I am very interested in Lakewood College in Vermillion AB because they offer a firefighter course (1001).
I am wondering if anyone has an opinion of Lakewood College or the 1001 program????
Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.
