I never understood why drunk people urinate more? What's the scientific reason behind this? I heard it's got to do something with ADH, but I don't quite understand.

Well, it's partly because drunk people have, on average, consumed significantly more fluid than the non drinker. In addition, alcohol does seem to have a moderate inhibitory affect on ADH production, promoting diuresis. What exactly don't you understand? Detailed pathways are available for the discerning learner.

And the corollary is "Why do I have cottonmouth this morning after tying one on last night?" ;)

How appropriate that I was mildly intoxicated when I replied to this last night. Thanksgiving evening festivities went well!
