I recently took the critical care class through UMBC and I know all the criticism ect but it was for the most part a very good course with many good topics as well as a great refresher. Course material sts that it is accepted by NREMT for recert hours. Its a total of 84 hours covering all 24 hrs of additional EMS CEU's as well as mandatory and flexible hours. It does state however that an additional 8 hours of peds is required to meet section I plus an additional 24 hrs of continuing education.
The following line sts ccemtp will fulfill 24 hrs of additional hours for Section II. CCEMTP is a minimum 84 hours in length.
UMBC attest that this continuing education activity meets the NREMT guidelines for re registration.
So do I just need an additional 8 hrs of peds and can that be fulfilled through online sources?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
