credentials to teach EMS at univeristy

Does anyone know what type of credentials (other than a Paramedic certification) it takes to teach paramedics or EMS at a degree awarding university? Is a M.Ed mandatory or can you have a related masters in something else, say MPH, or Phd.

It should be noted I am only speaking of university here not community college or vocational center.
