I hope I am not violating any rules here, but I wanted to share a piece of helpful information for the OP in the now closed Concealed Carry Weapons in Wisconsin thread. I should soon be getting a copy of Portage County's weapon protocols, which from what I understand is basically this:
EMS shall remove the weapon, leaving it holstered if it is in one.
Holstered or not place the weapon in a lock box and place the lock box in an exterior compartment on the rig.
Alert the hospital that you have the patients weapon on board so they can arrange to have a security officer take possession until such time that the patient is discharged.
